In history, we have been learning about Ireland in the 19th Century. As part of this, we have been learning about Georgian Dublin and the types of houses that people lived in. We learned that in the late 1700s and early 1800s, Georgian houses were homes for the wealthy. However, over time, these houses became tenement building where very poor people lived. Many families lived in one room.
To link to our learning in history, we have started an art project where we design a room in a Georgian House. We can choose to create a room for a rich family or a poor family. We started the project last week and here are some photos to show how we are doing so far.
