During term 2, we had been learning about Ireland during the 1800s. As part of our learning, we had learned about Georgian Dublin. We then did an art project where we created a room in a Georgian house in a box. We could choose whether to do a room in a rich person's house or in a tenement building. Everyone did a great job! Check out the photos below.

As part of National Tree Week, every class in the school had a tree planted for them. Our class tree is a Scotts Pine. Here is a photo of us with our class tree!
Martha's 3rd Class have chicks in their class, which have only hatched in the last few days. We got a chance to visit the class and see the baby chicks. We had to be really quiet so as not to frighten them. They were really cute! Yesterday, we had a very exciting afternoon! Two archaeologists came to visit the school with 'The Big Dig' workshop. The class got to learn about the work of an archaeologist and they got to ask lots of questions. They then got the opportunity to excavate a replica Viking house in a simulated archaeological dig. They had great fun and they found lots of interesting replica Viking artefacts. |
