Autumn has really inspired our learning over the past few weeks. We listened to Vivaldi 'Autumn from the Four Seasons' whilst creating beautiful artwork. We wrote fabulous autumn poems and learnt all about 'An Fómhar' as Gaeilge. We even discovered what we knew about trees and found out some new interesting facts to add to our ever growing knowledge bank! When we were discussing about gratitude some of us said we were really thankful and grateful for this beautiful time of year and the nature all around us. Take a a look at some of our autumn art below: Take a look at our Autumn Poems ( More to come). We worked really hard on our poems and were super proud of our them! We learnt the poem 'Duilleoga Deasa'. Have a go at saying the poem at home! Can you remember the actions? :)

We had a wonderful chance to study our mollusc friends up close today. James brought in a speedy snail( he climbed up his temporary home at a very fast pace and nearly escaped) and Lilla brought in a slimey shy brown slug to visit our classroom! We really enjoyed having the creatures in our class for a few hours. We could see their tentacles retract in and out we could see how the snail left a slimey trail to help itself move across the surface! We drew and labelled diagrams of our observations. 🔎
A fun, skip, walk and run in the sun - oh what a Friday feeling we had today! 5 weeks done and each week we are getting quicker!💨 |
