Mr Majeika is a wonderful series of books. They perfect for first class children. We were reading the first book in the series before the school closures. This is an audio recording of Chapter 1.
Listening to stories is great as we get to create movies in our minds as we listen. We get to decide what the characters look like and what the setting (the place where the story happens) looks like. Pretty cool! Just click on the picture below to listen to the story... First class have been learning and creating! See what your classmates have been creating below!Tommy has been super busy! Great work! It looks so neat! Richard has created a lovely collage. It's beautiful! I just love the bright cheerful colours! And there's even more children who submitted work on Seesaw and work just for teachers to see. Well done everyone. We are so proud of you all.
Deirdre Here's Chapter 2 of Mr Majeika. I've learned how to put in some sound effects! After you listen, let me know if the sounds help you to imagine the story while I'm telling it. Or maybe you prefer the story without sound effects! Hi everyone! I was so thrilled to receive so many videos, pictures and audio recordings of Home Learning! You have been busy bees at home, doing lots and lots! Hugo has drawn and created his own Monster. He looks great! Pranav has planted garlic pods. Great idea Pranav! I bet the dinner you cook with those will be so yummy! Tommy has been measuring and ordering instructions. See how carful his estimates are? They are such good guesses! Another first class child has been super busy! That child has created a fun instrument, practiced spellings and so much more! Well done for remembering the Look-Cover-Write-Check way of learning spellings. It's so much easier to learn that way! Mia has been using IXL to practice her maths. She's answered 200 questions! Woah! She also hosted a mini bake sale. Those brownies look delicious... :-) Richard has written instruction on how to build a Lego car. He's used his best handwriting and lots of bossy verbs! Well done everyone! We have such a great class! So many people are trying new things and practising things we've learned already.
I can't wait to see what you'll do next! Deirdre Our class is wonderful! I hear about lots of nice and kind things happening at home! The children in our class are helping around the house. They are being kind to their siblings, and on top of that I am receiving lots of great Home Learning. I will share some examples here! Tommy has completed some worksheets very neatly! Well done Tommy! Zaki has been creating some small books! Super cool Zaki! Richard has been weighing objects around his house! He's been exploring heavy and light. Well done RIchard! There is even more than this submitted just for teachers to see. Well done everyone! First Class is the very best! I hope to share more with you after Spring Break!
See you then! Deirdre |
