1st Class Spring Part 2

We've had a busy couple of months!

In art, we did a paper mache project. We tried two different paper mache techniques and created some fearsome monsters and some hot air balloons to decorate our reading area. 

In science we have been doing different investigations. In one investigation, we tested different materials to find out which was the most waterproof. In another, we found that if you mix some materials together they can change. We made some wonderfully gooey slime by mixing contact lense solution, food colouring and bread soda together.

Last month, we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge. During the week, we practised lots of Gaeilge phrases and we also had a Lá Glas which included a parade and dancing. It was great fun! 

In March, we started our swimming lessons as part of our PE learning and we are really enjoying them! Every Friday we get the bus to the swimming pool and spend 45 minutes practising our swimming. We are really enjoying it and are improving every week. Here is a picture us waiting in the sun to get the bus.
