- We had a very busy first half term in Senior Infants.
As you can see from the photos below our first role play area was the Space Station. The children enjoyed planning many different missions to Space over the month of October.
We also drew our self portraits in art which are now on display in the classroom. In art we also created pattern prints using 2D shapes. We created an Autumn tree collage using sugar paper.
In Maths we learned all about the number 5 and the number 6. We even created a huge number 6 in the classroom. We also learned all about 2D and 3D shapes. We looked at patterns and created our own patterns too.
Our PAT wall is well under way, PAT stands for Phonological Awareness Training. We have been learning all about word families and now we can use our PAT wall to write lots of words all by ourselves. We also continues to revise our tricky words and all our sounds.
Senior Infants love learning Gaeilge. So far we have explored the themes of Mé Féin and An Scoil. We even performed 2 poems as gaeilge at assembly on Friday.
