Here are some photos of our concert. We hope you enjoyed it!
What a treat we had on Wednesday! Following on from our fun outing to the puppet show at Rua Red last Friday, Eoin came to our class to talk to us about how to create puppets and a whole puppet show!
Did you know that you can make a puppet from something as simple as a piece of paper?! As long as you make it breathe, it will work as a puppet.
We worked in teams to make up a simple play and perform it to the rest of the class.
Today we went to see a puppet show called The Locksmith's Song at Rua Red. Many of us were surprised about the the 'puppets' in this show - they were keys!!
But Eoin put on a fabulous performance - we loved his clever set design and really enjoyed pondering afterwards about how he managed some of the special effects in the show!
The ending of the show left us with just enough questions that were all able to draw our own conclusions about what was in the box!
We are really looking forward to next Wednesday, when Eoin will come and visit our school and do a Puppetry workshop with us! Maybe then we can have our own puppet shows at school!
Thanks as well to the parents who came along to help keep us safe! -Josep, Marie, Marie and Liene - they enjoyed the show too!
