As our date to move to our beautiful new school inches ever closer, we have been doing some work to prepare for the move. Caitríona sent around the drawings of our new school, so we could find our new classroom and become familiar with the layout of the building.
During Art class, we used clay to create our own small version of our current school building. This building is where we have spent 4 and a half years of our time in primary school, so we wanted something to remember it by! Take a look at some of our creations!
Last week, we went for a walk to take a look at our new building!
We have been busy in P.E. over the last two months. During the month of October, we were learning about Games - mainly focusing on developing our football, basketball and hockey skills. In November, we were learning about Athletics - running, jumping and throwing. Check out some action shots from our lessons!
During the months of October and November, we have been learning a little about the geography of Ireland.
We learned about the four provinces, identifying the counties in each. We have also been learning about some of the rivers, focusing on those which flow through the main cities in Ireland. We used our atlases to help us with our work and also played some great games on the school iPads and chromebooks.
You can try the rivers game here and the counties game here!
