The Sam Maguire Cup came to visit Citywest ETNS this month and the lucky boys and girls in 1st class were able to touch it. It was a very exciting day!
Scarecrow Fun

2D Shapes
We have had alot of fun learning about 2D shapes in math this month. We've been playing lots of fun games and activities to help us to learn our shapes. In PE we made some shapes wih our bodies. Can you guess what they are?
We have had a very exciting October in 1st Class. We have been learning our numbers 10-20 and practicing our reading every day. We have been learning all about our friend the hedgehog and made lovely hedge hogs ourselves in art. Our hedgehogs are now hibernating for the Winter and we're looking forward to waking them up in the Springtime!
People at work was our theme for this last week. The children in 1st class have been learning all about the work that different people do in a community. Each child was given a job to research and on Thursday we set up our village and had visitors come in to ask us about our work.
We had a lot of fun at work!
